Same here. It's got ALOT to do with who owns most Pitbulls and how they are trained. Were they used as fighting dogs? Yes. Do many people who get them get them because they think it's cool... and then go about training them to be "tough" and have no idea what they are doing and have no business owning ANY dog, much less a pit? Yes.
I've seen people walking their pitbulls with those stupid inward spiked choke collars.. ridiculous. Get a good harness, teach your damn dog to heel like a responsible owner and don't torture the thing with that stupid collar and "yanking" him back into line and then wonder why the frick he bites you.
Okay, done with that.
Agree about the chihuahua... they would straight up murder everyone if they were big enough.

Prong collars are the most effective tool to stop a charging / pulling dog. I’d rather them use that than a 140 beer belly girl get yanked to the ground as her pit mauls a kid or small pet

True. If used correctly, they have their place. What I'm saying is they aren't being used correctly, but are simply being used by lazy owners who don't want to train their dog, don't fit them properly and just yank on them to keep the dog on the sidewalk or when he's stopped and smelled something for too long. Just lazy arse ownership by people who have no business owning dogs. Not limited to pitbulls, I've seen one a-hole with a beautiful brindle boxer puppy using one. Pissed me the frick off for some reason.

I am not sure the chart is as exculpatory as you think it is. Going off the chart statistically there is a ~36% chance a breed other than a pitbull is the perpetrator in a killing. Arguendo the chart is correct for some undisclosed area over some undisclosed time period it still doesn't address statistical bites. If it is accurate I would think the number of other breed bites that caused injury is actually higher than 36%. Pibulls for various reasons probably cause death at a higher rate ones an initial bite occurs than other breeds.
I am not knighting for pitbulls just arguing your chart is poor support for calling someone an idiot in the thread. I see them as inherently dangerous since just like my Basset that has only ever barked at rabbits deep done they know their "job" and a Pits job is fighting and killing.
