Breastfeeding in public without a cover

Why do women think this is "empowering?" Why is there a movement for women to pull their titties out in public and start feeding their kids with no cover?
-I get that babies need to eat and may need to breastfeed at any time
-I get that it's a natural part of life
-why can't we be modest about it?
Taking a dump is a natural part of life but I don't drop trou in the middle of a restaurant and poo in a plastic bag.

My wife breast fed our child, but is against all these bitches doing it in public. She says and I agree that they are just doing it for attention.

I'm not against them doing it in public. I'm not going to tell you where and where not to feed your baby.
I just have a problem with this whole idea that it's "empowering" to do it and deliberately avoid being modest about it.
I saw this at an outdoor bar/restaurant earlier this week. This fat hipster wannabe is feeding her baby and walking around like we're supposed to want to see that.
You can't use a small blanket to cover your baby and your tit? Why are we pretending like that's normal?
