I just picked up my wife she works in a school about 2 blocks away from the mall where the shooting took place. She left on the last train before they shutdown the banhhof. I was listening to the radio when the news broke and my heart sank in my chest because it is close to where she works and I know she stops there sometimes on Friday afternoon before she heads home. If anyone has any doubts the threat here and it will only get worse.

Thanks it was here there she just works in Munich and takes the train daily. They got alerts that is was happening she has an extra class on Friday afternoons. She got on the train to come home and not long after she left they shut just about everything down.

Why are all these Belgium, German, and French cops always in ski masks and shorts? Euros don't wear actual shorts very often, but these swat guys are in jorts, body armor, and face masks. Such an odd combination? Like they don't have time to put on their pants, but they all have time to find their ski masks?

But if that were the case, the guy would have tried to get away with it, in an attempt not to be identified. His suicide (as some have reported) defeats that purpose, as does his shooting people in the open when others all have cameras on their phones.
