Or get shot, right?

Or get punishment period. What ever it might be. A little sand in your face is a far cry from being shot

This. It's not about the individual. It's about minimizing the impact of a disease that is spreading worldwide like a wind-driven forest fire. You get ahead of it and make fire breaks to slow it down and contain it. It isn't an attack on personal freedoms, it's what the world needs people to do at this moment
One factor why NY is taking such a hit is because of the typical "New Yorker" mentality of "You can't tell me chit"
You see how that's working out for them...

I was out at the Lakefront in New Orleans the day before the illustrious mental midget that is the Mayor issued an order to close it to people.
I did see quite a few folks out, but they were not gathering in groups as it was mainly people jogging, bicycling, rollerblading, couples walking with their kids and people fishing. Nobody I saw was interacting with anyone other than the other person they were with from what I could see both driving to, along and back home from that area.
People were very dispersed, some on the green side across Lakeshore Dr. to the levee area and others on the seawall side.
Talk about a kneejerk reaction by some public officials.
Yeah, get out and get some exercise. Now go out in your back yard and hop in circles.

I dont understand why people cant see that. Its not about taking something away from anyone. Its about getting through this and being done with it. Its not just about you. Its about everyone.
You dont have to fight authority at every stop. This is a time where people just need to do what is asked of them for the safety of everyone .

Remind me again, how many is a brazilian?
According to the content both written and filmed. 1 Brazilian makes a group and 2 Brazilian’s make a crowd.

Was it a dick move? Yes. Would I have enjoyed being the helicopter pilot that got to do that? Yes.

Its not about getting through this and that's what people like YOU don't understand. We aren't "getting through this", we are flattening the curve. Its not a matter of preventing people from getting sick, its a matter of preventing everyone from getting sick at the same time.
We need a certain percentage of people to be getting sick every week, or this will last forever and completely kill the economy and cause mass panic throughout the world due to a financial crisis.
Shut down large events, absolutely. But situations where people can be out and about in small crowds under 10 people should absolutely be allowed.

No, I actually understand it very well. My wife works at a hospital and I totally do understand reducing the cases.
My verbiage may be off but I do understand. My small business is being devastated by the shut down.
The problem with allowing small crowds and allowing SOME instances is that humans are not going to do that. They are going to push the envelope and eventually they will need directing. Which is what is happening.
Humans are either too selfish or just not smart enough to police themselves. They need directing. Unfortunately

The average person is a complete fricking moron. We are having a country wide shutdown bc people can’t be trusted to stay home if sick or to regularly wash their hands. Let that sink in....adults.....having to be told to wash their fricking hands.

baa baa baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
This conditioning is going to be more costly than all the money being thrown at it.
What can you do? We live in a world filled with toilet paper hoarders.

Was that an AR14 the cop was holding?
Posted on 3/31/20 at 8:56 am to tigerbutt
Well they were some dicks. There wasnt any crowds at all. Looks like they were social distancing pretty well.

Well, if they let one or two people use the hiking trail or beach, eventually more and more idiotic people will begin to crowd on in, ruining social distancing initiatives.
Closing outdoor areas will have an unintended consequences of forcing people to congregate into the few open venues. It's really shitty policy.
There's no better place to distance than outdoors.

You bootlickers sure don’t share the same views on people who choose not to vaccinate.
By this logic you should be held at gunpoint to vaccinate your kids. It’s a public health issue too? It’s for the greater good, right?
These Karen’s on Facebook shouting about staying at home will be the first to be anti-vaxxers because Jenny McCarthy said so.
