But for real, the early jet age test pilots that NASA drew the first astronauts from were some ballsy motherfrickers. Not sure if they're the bravest ever but they've got to be up there. Most of you have probably seen the movie The Right Stuff but if you haven't read the book I recommend you do so. It concentrates heavily on the test pilots of the 50's-60s.
