That's my point. Being mayor doesn't mean having a chance to create a better environment for your kids or your constituents' kids to excel in.

It only means $$ thru future job opportunities and speaking arrangements.

shite, I'd say that I could probably do better but I could light a fire, shite on it, call it mayor shitfire, and it would be better than this piss poor effort.

Gravy will take to FB and lament how unfair it is that the blacks aren't allowed to rip off the taxpayers like the whites were since the blacks also pay taxes. After all, it's their turn. It's a race to the bottom

Work in government contracting and I see nothing wrong with this budget. Nothing is way out of line or seems overly expensive. So why is Silky getting his panties in a wad over this?

let's all remember this is literally the only reason this even became a story in the first place

This is the only reason it's become a story this soon.

The Federal Government was already looking into the allocation of BRAVE funds. The Fed making a point of the fact that all unused $ from the final dispersal would go back from whence it came ("use it or lose it")... IMO - This was their way of baiting the hook(s) to catch rotten fish.

I think it's her people that can't help themselves more than its really her, and that she's to over her head to know she needs to keep them in check.

Because people criticizing Silky getting $9800 for himself with no apparent qualifications. So he tries to spin it that people mad about him getting less than $10k but a whitey run charity gets a much bigger BRAVE grant. He doesn't realize that by posting that budget, he actually justifies the amount of money for them.

That MAY be the case for the BRAVE funding but what about the tons of money coming out of her Mayoral fund? I SERIOUSLY doubt that she knows nothing about the money coming from there. The plausible deniability argument kind of dies there.

Silky Slim is too fricking stupid to see that every expense is justified by that itemized statement. His is bullshite. That stupid frick couldn't put together a legible statement if you gave him the rest of his worthless life.

PLUS, that would have been approved by the Metro Council.

What he and fatass don't get is that all of these suspect "contracts" are at a level that they don't need MC approval (i.e., no oversight and the Mayor can use it as a slush fund).

According to WBRZ's findings reported yesterday...
quote:

Nine contracts associated with the BRAVE program (issued mid-June thru July 2017) have been suspended
quote:

The specific contracts suspended have not been released.
(although one of them was outed as belonging to Cleve Dunn for $17.5K)

With those statements in mind - I think the 9 in question are going to be the ones "input by" GAJR (in the column marked by the dot).

My logic in making this determination: There are 10 Purchase Orders bearing those initials from the time frame in question. Subtract one - the "Cancelled" agreement with Arthur "Silky Slim" Reed - leaving "a grouping of 9" currently frozen.

My concern is the Federal grant compliance audit will result in having to re-pay amounts already expended due to being declared ineligible a la bike path and low income youth job training....High schooler Zuri Sanchez will Steve Miller band that tournament check and take the money and run....
