It was his wife’s sister.

months before the Shunick murder
If I remember correctly, that thread was only a few days before they started searching for Shunick. It pretty much stayed on the first page from the time he posted until they found her body.

was the Mickey Shunick case the one where the guy on here had a sister who was dating the killer? Or was that another Tigerdroppings Investigation special?
That the case. If I recall, the guy who posted here said that his sister was dating Lavergne and I THINK he and his dad sort of put together a few pieces because Lavergne had gone to the girlfriends and and the family (dad and brother) noticed his hand was bandaged up and a few other small details sort of raised some flags.
It is awful that that poor girl and her family went through and continue to go through (her family), but if I recall she put up one hell of a fight.

Hopefully he kills himself eventually

Jesus Christ, Chris, I just told y’all 2 posts up it was his wife’s sister who was dating him. I was his FIL, not his father.

It doesn’t sound like he had a well conceived plan.

You were his father in law?
And you don’t escape Angola. The river or the Tunica Hills and mosquitoes get em everytime.

If you’re serving life you might as well try to escape.

Wish the prison chase team would have caught him and beat the living frick out of him. He’s one of those criminals you just keep thinking up different ways to make him suffer.
