What you call torture is actually end of life care and it’s done everyday by hospice professionals. It is controlled decline and death by dehydration. Also, you overestimate your son’s quality of life. His life may very well be the torture.

His wife has posted a lot of videos showing him in pretty much a vegetative state. What evidence do you have that he’s able to ever recover? An anecdotal video from one other person isn’t going to be convincing. What have the doctors given you or anyone to believe he will not be living this tortuous experience for the next 20 years?
But I do agree the wife is a psycho and is milking his health for clout.

I don't know the whole story here but inferring from the few lines of info here, and based on previous experience with family money, large sums of money, whether it be inheritance, court settlements, etc, can truly bring out the absolute worst in people, and I feel like there are very few people even within your own family you can truly trust to be 100% honest when it comes to large sums of money like that. Its a sad realization in the modern world.

You're not a very smart one are you? This is your reply to me saying Josh was discharged from hospice services last year because he is no longer eligible. You can't just say I want to kill my spouse and hospice will do it for me. No it doesn't work that way. You're suggesting someone be given end of life care who isn't end of life. Starving a conscious man for weeks until he dies would be torture.

His "wife" has already been donated all of the money to pay for his treatment but according to a screenshot she provided a couple months ago when she was begging for more money, the bank account is in the negative. If nothing else, a judge should have her pay back every penny of those donations to the family, put in some sort of trust in order for the money to only actually be used for his medical treatments. I don’t know the legality of what she’s doing with the money, but at a very minimum it’s wrong. God will handle people like her but I pray he gets the help he needs.

There are plenty of videos that show Josh completely different than how his "wife" shows him. You can tell he is very annoyed when she visits. He ignores her and doesn't respond to her. But when his mom is there he he tries so hard. His mom is not able to get him seen by an Dr because she has no legal rights. Thats what the court date in January is for. The only Dr he has is the nursing home Dr not professionals with brain injuries and recovery

That is so horrible. I don’t know who you are or your relation to the family, but thank you for fighting and raising awareness. I know this isn’t a cut/dry deal, but as a mother I know I would be doing everything I could to fight for my son the way she is. That ex wife looks to be pretty evil.

when did he tell you this?
It was documented, observed and confirmed he was under the influence. And yes he did say he didn't want to die. A few weeks prior he had an accidental overdose and actually died. He was brought back and when he woke up he was so thankful to be alive. He made a decision to get clean because he said he didn't want to die. He was sober at that time and thinking clearly. He knew he wanted to live. Unfortunately a couple days prior to his arrest he relapsed and he was under the influence at the time of his arrest. He acted out in the moment not thinking clearly.

So hospice is likely available only to those whose death is imminent (6-12 months). He's probably not eligible because of the intervention (whatever feeding mechanism). If that's removed, he'd probably be eligible. That is what I was implying. Speaking from experience after my dad's stroke, that's all.
Thanks for the insult, though. They say the measure of a man is the company he keeps. There's no one on my list whose now guilt ridden mother had him arrested only to attempt suicide in jail and subsequently have his skanky pseudo lesbian almost ex wife and mom who knocked over the first domino have an attention seeking custody battle over his partially functioning body.
