BR water company is not government run, it’s privately family owned. Has been for years.

I have the same exact problems, I told them I'm not getting a bill I am too enrolled in the smart bill thing. They just say it is going out to my email and I'm just not seeing them...whatever.

With the unable to pay online thing, you have to wait until the bill is generated and it will also give you that message if you try to pay more than once in the same cycle.

Clunky as shite

Also, you people that allow BR Water to autodraft are fricking crazy...they barely let you pay, I could imagine the shite show of trying to get a billing error corrected and refunded to you even if it is just a credit on the next month's bill

Is yours generally expensive? Ours is usually about $80 for water, sewer and trash which I find to be pretty reasonable.

Well the one I paid in March was $209 but I’m pretty sure I never got a bill in February so it may have been both combined

Otherwise it’s all over the board.

Yeah that higher than any of ours have ever been. I don't think we've ever had one over $100.

To be fair, we do water plants.. we have a koi pond but it goes through a pump and filter (that doesn’t use new water).. we clean the aquarium every week or so.. my SO thinks turning the sink on and running away is normal.. and we both fancy a nice soak in the tub multiple days a week.

That is extremely high...mine runs $75 a month and that's with 2 kids who fill the bath tub at least 3 times each a night because they like the hot water, wash clothes several times a day because kids are in and out of pool, and oh yeah putting water in the pool a couple times a week

I may need to pull out some bills and take a look. They’re not all that detailed but I do notice the sewer/trash side of the bill is always high.

Went through the same shite. After multiple attempts at both calling them and using the website I finally got a payment to go through on their website. Not sure how, maybe there’s a magic number of attempts

I was livid.

That’s because BR Water drew wells too close the fault line in BR causing the salt water intrusion problem, so they’re trying to pass the blame onto industry despite the fact that industry already gets the overwhelming majority of their water from the river.

I’ve never had a water bill over $100. It’s usually $65 or so. It’s gone up a little because in August we moved to a house with gas. One time I had a bill of $165 and knew something was off. Looked at the bill and saw a HUGE spike in the use of gas. The idiot who read our meter was way off. Surprisingly it was an easy fix by emailing a picture of the meter.

This is all good to know. I'll pull out the past year of bills and compare (since you can't access that online).

I've made fun of my SO for saving paper bills for years. I guess I'm the dumbass now.

For the sewer charge?

Water AND sewer. They were charging me for the house next door that has three kids and a pool. Uses a shite ton of water. Sewer fee is based off of water usage. So I was paying almost $100 more a month than I should have been. I was new to BR and just figured you crazy frickers pay $175 a month for water and sewer.
