Haven't lived in BRLA in almost a decade. Back in the day , superior was an older crowd. By older I mean post college late 20's and older crowd. Happy hour on Thursdays and Fridays was a 9-5 after work crowd mostly. Best Mexican food? I guess for BRLA it must be at least top 3. Great hook up scene and IMO was the pre-game for a lot of the folk who would either hit up south downs or Cadillac cafe later that night.

It's never been known for food. It's not in the top 5. It's a social place that serves food and watered down margaritas. If you're part of that crowd, you associate their shitty food for a good time and probably thinks it better because of it. It's not.

Superior is like, normal 30-40 year olds. Caddy is 30-40 year olds from Ascension or Livingston thinking they're "going uptown". Superior serves food. Caddy serves cigarette smoke and a big room fully illuminated by neon beer lights.

i'm guessing you haven't actually had the margaritas there. Watered down isn't how you would normally describe them. Over priced, yes. Watered down, not a chance.

I'm looking forward to the Superior opening up on Highland/Kenilworth so I don't have to track all the way to Govt. Their Tex-mex is the best in town hands down, and this is from a former LaCorreta lover.

I've gone in there once.
I saw some pretty pathetic sights. It took a month to wash off the stench of ciggs and cheese.
