How is it possible for the mayor to put someone as divisive as FGC on anytime of government council? She has lost all legitimacy.

Eh, these committees for transition teams include people from each "segment" of the community that the team impacts. BR has had the religious leaders speaking on behalf of the inner city for years. Because the residents of North 47th Street don't trust anyone but their pastor.

Its happening in Chicago right now. They wanted less police intrusion, they got it, now they're claiming the racist cops won't help them.

But I don't care.

Make a very public press conference statement saying "The leaders of these neighborhoods believe they are being unfairly targeted by police. We are listening to them and will pull back our police efforts in those areas. We hope, through appeasing to their demands, we are showing that Baton Rouge PD hear their complaints and are willing to work with them"

Just make it clearly know, through public repetition, that they asked for this.

I've said this once and I'll say it again: Baton Rouge is turning into a shite hole.

This is a fresh take. Not really accurate, but it's sure original!

I like how the Chief of Police, a former Training Academy Director and career defensive tactics instructor, who runs the agency the policy changes effect is pushed to the back of the press conference behind clergy, a drug dealer, and a race baiter.

It helps show where SWB priorities lie.

Police! Freeze!

Sounds like enough of a warning to me.

It's not a government council. It was the transition committee.

This isn't a new committee going forward that he's on?

Sounds like she's just keeping the group in tact...these committees do nothing. People love to freak the frick out.

well I doubt they have a great relationship considering she claimed her top priority was replacing him. Until she realized she can't exactly do that

Dude, you seriously "can't believe" that she suggests that?

Really?

What else is she suggesting....from reading that sentence you can make a fair guess that she is hinting that some cops do just roll up and start using force without warning....

Again, cops already issue verbal warnings....but this "new rule" seems as though she believes they just roll up and shoot/use force without warnings.

You seem very dense.
