Dude, it is posturing. Those are already common sense rules.
Not sure about the one on reporting use of force. I could be wrong, but I don't think a cop has to file any kind of report after beating the shite out of someone, other than tag on the resisting charge.

yep, Baton Rouge is a ticking time bomb right now....there are problems, people know there are problems, they are putting on a show to make it llok like they are trying to fix the issues, but there are a select few that know how bad it is and what the outcome will be and it wont be pretty.

Better start recruiting new cops to replace the ones that'll be leaving

The melt might be strong in social media, but out in the streets? Not enough manpower for that.

if these policies were in place months ago, alton would be still be alive dealing drugs and selling CDs, a simple verbal warning would have ended it.

Hate to see what my hometown has become, but life is good over here in Texas.

Sure. I guess I just don't understand what the full-scale melty outrage comes from.
Having unqualified people on an "advisory board" that doesn't need to exist because laws are already in place is the start of it

I'm sure that new applications to BRPD are just rolling in.

When the video came out I would've more likey expected damage, but I don't see anything huge happening.

Really happy I left that shithole Baton Rouge before this happened.

Yeah, people on the OT constantly gnash their teeth at "good" cops not taking a stand against the "bad" ones. I honestly don't have an in depth knowledge of internal BRPD rules so I don't know if this is something additional. But I still don't see where the outrage stems from in re-emphasizing it if it's already in place. Obviously there is political posturing. Why are we just now disgusted by politicians being politicians? These things don't change.

The problem is that her target demographics think that those laws weren't in place before she came to office thus perpetuating the myth that the cops are out to kill black people just because they can.

Yeah, I'll agree with this to an extent. Gary Chambers has no place making meaningful suggestions/decisions. But looking at the very content of what they come up with doesn't immediately rile me up.
