Don't use anybody affiliated with Central Security Group

I had them when I lived in TX, after moving back I tried to transfer but they don't have an authorized installer in the area. I'm stuck paying them another 11 months from my 3 year contract.

Nope, trust me I tried.

I offered to pay them half of what I would owed them for 3 years just to cut ties and they wouldn't budge.

Custom security I guess although none of them are really any good.

It's only 20 a month So no reason to not have it

I have been more than satisfied with Custom Security. $25/month for full monitoring with the cellular device (don't need a home phone line/can set or disarm from phone app). Have always gotten a call within 1 minute of accidentally setting off the alarm or the cellular device losing a connection, no matter what time of day.

Custom Security

Local company with good service. When you call them an actual person answers not some damn automated system that you have to navigate through.

Also one of my first jobs out of high school was installing alarms. I worked for a 2 different companies that installed for ADT. The work standards for both were crap. I remember going into some homes that had been wired by custom where the customers later opted to switch to ADT. Their attention to detail on wiring blew our stuff out of the water and always looked like professional work.

The Mrs and I have had ADT for about 6 months now. We have Pulse so we can access all 3 cameras, the thermostat and two light switches remotely (from cell as well as computer) as well as arm/disarm. The only issue we had was one of the wireless cameras would drop signal quite a bit. We called, they came out within a few days and fixed it. Since then we haven't had any technical issues and we haven't had the first billing issue (we use auto-draft but check the accounts every week).

Signature is awesome. Jason, the owner, worked for Custom for like 20 years before opening his own company. He took over my alarm monitoring recently. He fixed a bunch of stuff that Custom had really messed up. He is also really good with a/v installation as well.

Touché. He left custom because they were cutting corners to pick up market share. He was gone from custom and in business for himself by the time my house was built.

This.

Wife set the alarm off yesterday. They had called me before her text went through to me that it was her who tripped the alarm.

Had ADT at our old house. Alarm was tripped with no one home and us out of town. Asked them to follow up with me on if there was an issue once they spoke to BRPD. Never called back.

That's a sign of scared business. What they don't understand is that consumers will run the other way when they see stories like yours such as me.

Custom Security has been a good and reasonable monitoring service for me.

I agree. Just had a guy come out today to swap some equipment. Good people.

Glad to hear Viviant has been going around. Had some sob knock on my door asking if I had an alarm system. He said he was from a security monitoring company, Viviant. He didn't have any documentation for me to hold on to or anything else that would lead me to believe he wasn't trying to case my house.

I'm not real receptive to a stranger asking how well my house is protected.
