What I'm betting on is this nationwide search will result in someone being selected who has this idea he can step in and fix everything right away, then he'l realize what he's gotten himself into and 8 months later say, "F*ck this!" and start the revolving door, like the school board superintendent.

They are everything they profess to hate.
If you're gonna put yourself out there publicly, you have to be prepared to take the criticism that may come with that. But they're not. And it's easier to just whine than face up to it.

BR is getting a Black Chief. Same as St.Louis will end up with soon.

They will make the Black Chiefs job a living hell for him. Last Black Chief St.Louis had, they hindered him every waking hour. And when he told them that more black police officers aren't getting promoted, because they cannot pass a simple sgt exam, they called him an uncle tom. But he always fought back and called them out as fools.

Sad part is, we've had a black chief. Dabadie's predecessor, Jeff LeDuff may have been the best chief BRPD has ever had. Dabadie just continued that excellence.

LeDuff was great. I'd be down for a chief of any race, but it's pretty obvious Broome only wants a black chief that is down for the cause. Somehow, there are black officers out there who buy into the BLM bullshite.

I think some of you put too much into this whole race thing. It isn't as much about hiring a black chief as it is hiring "her" chief, who could possibly happen to be black.
When Leduff retired, didn't he suggest Dabadie? If Laduff was still CoP, she would probably be looking to replace him because he wouldn't be "her guy". That's just part of the game called politics.
