Have you seen the neighborhood that school is in?
Well yeh I know. That is why some parents may not want to send their kid there. I am fine with my kid practicing fire drills, but drive by drills make me a little uneasy

The SHS I've heard have gone on to be more accomplished than their peers at SAS, SGS, STM, etc

Oh come on. This is just silly. To act like you can determine any of the schools is better than the other based on a small sampling of what you may know is ridiculous. For one how many SAS, SGS, or STM alums do you know and keep track of how they have done in life?

I never played in that gym. The new SGS gym was awesome though

I missed out on the new SAS gym by a year or two though

I'm speaking from experience

But I assume you're talking about testing scores ?
That and observation. They do just as well in teaching, but they also take in kids that have harder luck then the other schools combined. So the fact some of their grads may not be as good is not a reflection on the actual school

I don't think I've ever even seen the inside. I may need to go check it out soon.

I would think its very hard to get into Catholic High from a non-feeder school. There's so many private feeder schools and only 2 high schools. Most of the MBS boys, my son included, went to CHS.

How did news of the drive by drill get out ?

I remember when they first installed it. I didn't quite grasp it until someone found a bullet on the play ground

I'm not gonna sit here can act like I keep tabs on everyone haha. All these schools produce great and accomplished young people. But from what I've heard, SHS has put out a lot of great young people as of late. It's really a good school. It would be considered "top notch" if it were in a better neighborhood.

Yes. How did country club sport at LSU not give it away?

I just don't think there is a noticeable difference in any of the catholic schools.

I don't think so either. They're all good schools.
