The article states he was walking to his car. Sounds like thugs targeted him, could’ve started inside the bar.

This sucks. You know damn well people know who killed this guy and they aren’t going to say anything because of some code. I hope someone steps up and anonymously calls crime stoppers.

bet he would have won the fight with the shooter(s) if there hadnt been a gun used.

These people are usually cowards. If they can't gang up on you, they'll shoot you. You'll rarely see a one on one

Those people don’t snitch in those kind of NBR neighborhoods. The threat of having to testify in court against the killer(s) is extremely high. The people don’t have to agree with the thug culture that surrounds them, however they have to play the game to avoid being gunned down before testifying in court as a material witness.

Sorry to hear this and I'll be praying for his family. My father was murdered back in 1996 so I know this pain all to well but I noticed something and have seen it alot lately. When did we start calling it "gun violence"? Do we call say an assault with a knife or bat knife violence..or bat violence..or fist violence? I see an agenda.

Sounds more like he's the victim of Baton Rouge culcha violence
This guy wasnt selling drugs or doing illegal activity. He was a good tax paying citizen who was innocently killed. Ill call culcha when I see culcha, but this dude wasnt the problem.

Once you get murdered in the north, it’s a tall order to get witnesses to come forward and do the right thing by telling the cops what happened. In the hood, doing the right thing means shutting the frick up.

God speed JT Rest In Peace

It appears there’s an apartment across the street from the “bar”.

Yeah, I'm thinking that too.

Dude would come in to work at the clinic with bruises from his fight over the weekend. We would talk about the local boxing scene, his next bout, and all sorts of things. He was gentle and supportive to all of the kids. They adored him

I hate myself for not remembering his name
seems like you could easily verify this .

But yeah those guys don't look the same to me

Yeah, my son was training at the same boxing club, he always helped my son out. We enjoyed going watch him fight. Saddens us both.
