It used to blow really bad.

I been tryin tell people that since 2014 when they took it over. Night and Day. The Wisky Game in 2014 they had just finished the indoor renovations to bar, seating, taps. It's a good neighborhood bar now.

They built an additional room with pool tables and games, and there are bathrooms in it. It is all brand new and looks nothing like the rest of Happys.

they added a side bar they tried to make a game room and I guess didn't really take off. Its now a piano bar with actual adequate bathrooms plus its 10000x times easier to get a drink

Roughly two years ago, MoreBeerPlease (a thread can be found on the F/D) and I went over there to try a few different beers. This dude walked in with his wife and was clearly not from this area. The bartender was a complete dick to him and verbally undressed him in front of his wife/other customers. I think I've been there once since then.

It's definitely not a spot I would go for a first date or anything. But they do have a good selection of beer.

As far as other spots in BR, a new spot is opening where Lock & Key used to be. A few of the bartenders at Olive in Twist will be working there. I can't remember the name. Sorry.

90s Pub Crawl

This sounded like the most ridiculous event. It was $40, didn't go to charity, didn't include any kind of transportation or anything, and only got you a "drink special" at each bar that you had to drive/uber to yourself (unless you only went to the downtown ones participating). I don't understand the point of paying. Why not just save your $40 and just buy drinks at the regular price of like $1 more?

Hayride Scandal. Bartenders from a few bars are going there, actually. I kinda wanna check it out.

Stalky frick. I'm in there alot. I'm usually out back in first booth on deck to the right with the "barflies" as my gf calls them. You have to know them gals and the little British fricker who's always there.

Is The Happy Note still around?

God damn shame if it isn't.

Did you know I met that owner of Lock & Key via Tinder and she was a pushy big bitch. Weird too. Something VERY shady about her entire operation of that bar and her personal lifestyle.
Ultimately I got back with the GF, Big bitch got mad and unfriended me on the Facebook.

Nope. Uncle Earls is next door to the last iteration of the Note.

But 06-09 the Note had a good ride in that little strip next to Jubans(perpendicular to Perkins).

I was barely old enough to remember going to the old Note where BRCC is back in 93. Was a unique BR Fixture for sure.

I honestly know very little about L&K, but I think the manager is recently a year sober.

Speaking of which, an ex bartender from there helps run Driftwood Cask. How's that place doing? It was nice when I went.

If not longer... he lives in New Hampshire now, seems to be doing really well.
