Seems the Holiday Inn Airline/Interstate has stood the test of time. It's very nice inside.

Fleur de Lis is fricking disgusting. I’d rather just order Dominos than play the call ahead and wait game those losers created

And you deserve Dominos. It’s much more your speed.

Besides the nostalgia, what's so Great?

The pizza is probably the worst in the city and its disgusting inside. That's not charm and I'm sure the kitchen looks twice as bad as the dining room

My dad loved FD'Lee pizza....I never thought much of it, but it's definitely better than Dominos...I used to like the pizza at Europe's on Airline in BR back in the day.

Wasn't that long ago it was simply a country lane. We used to go swimming in a borrow pit that was directly across from St. George Church. Good times...

Yes we did.

The borrow pits created when they needed earth for the I-10 Overpass at Siegen made for some awesome outdoors fun for the Kids in the Village St George area.

I have a pic of my first fish caught there when I was bout 7. I remember watching in awe the older kids rope swinging out there.

I also still remember my brother putting me in our wagon at the top of a hill and letting me speed down that fricker to my demise. He was mean.

Great memories though.

When that Plaza was built and we suddenly had a KMart, McDonalds, and a Movie Theater within walking distance of the house(just over 2 miles)... We were in heaven.

Fun fact: "Sex Lies and Videotape" held its world premier at that theater.

3 pages and no mention of Cortana Mall? I guess maybe it's just been written off as a culcha landmark and unsalvageable.

I'd take FDL over almost any pizza I've ever had. Idgaf if the building is old. I may go have a pizza and a few beers in those tiny glasses after work tomorrow

It's actually getting major work done to it. Are they ADDING a building to the existing ones?

You be either never had good pizza or you just like shitty pizza.

If that place opened up tomorrow how it is, it would be closed in less than a year

My favorite pizza there was an open late place close to Times Square.
A Slice Of New York. Yum. Now I wanna go back.

And this from the person who would pick Dominos.

This should be a footnote on all your food posts, just for reference.

I wouldn’t say it’s amazing by any stretch, but worst in the city is ridiculous. It’s just good bar pizza. We’re not talking amuse bouche here. It’s fricking pizza.

Well that was another poster saying that

So be it. Plenty of other people in here say it sucks. When that many people agree it's bad and the other group is saying it's more nostalgia, then it doesn't have much going for it.

I’ll second drusilla seafood and add Ralph and kacoos. Not a good sign when you walk into a place and it smells like Clorox wipes. Only go to those places when I have a luncheon for CPE.

Whoah now, let's not get crazy. Pastime's pizza tastes terrible. They make a mean calzone, though.

I often order Dominos over Fleur-de-lis because Dominos is cheaper, faster, and not nearly as greasy. Fleur-de-lis takes forever for dine-in or carry out and they keep weird hours. Dominos is ready 15 minutes after I call, so sometimes, they really win due to convenience alone. I love the taste of Fleur-de-lis pizzas, but they usually give me really bad heart burn and indigestion where Dominos doesn't.

It needs a lot more than just capital improvements. The facilities are a little run-down, but that is literally the least of their problems.

I’m shocked at how many people are actually trying to say Fleur de Lis is some great pizza. Everything about the place sucks.
