Have you had anyone able to access traffic cameras at intersections in the area? If you notice, it seems like they are at nearly every intersection in EBR.

Boy Scouts is a learning journey, and this theft should be part of their education: 1) It’s important to protect your stuff. 2) Valuable things need to be insured. 3) When bad things happen to you, accept the consequences of your own neglect. Your boys should be raising the money to replace their gear by washing cars, cutting grass, and painting sheds, not by begging for money. Not the best lesson for them to see that your first instinct is to look for charity. If folks hear about your plight and want to offer you $20, that’s great. Proactively starting a Go Fund Me account teaches your kids victim mentality and dependency.

We have a shed on our church's property that was broken into a few weeks ago. People suck. Thankfully our derby track was stored in my garage. Those things are expensive to replace.

I love my kids but cub scouts was miserable. Thank God I talked them out if it after a couple of years. I work all week to enjoy the weekend. Not to sit around with a bunch of other parents that I have no interest talking to.

Well, growing up in the 70's and 80's it was a lot of fun but I grew up in a small community of about 5000. Everyone was involved in tons of kid's activities. BSA certainly has a bad stigma now politically and such but I'm sure there are worse things for kids to do with their spare time. As parents, sure, some of the interactions are a bit annoying but you don't do those things for yourself. You endure them for your kids. Maybe them seeing you make the best of things instead of complain is a great lesson they'll pass on to their kids.

Same happened to my boy's troop in Midland, TX more than a few years ago. Cops found it in the same town a couple weeks later. I don't remember if they recovered any of the stuff. It happens.
