The trailer had a tongue/ hitch lock on it as well as a chain across the front of where it was parked. Both were cut. After doing a little research apparently dozens of scout trailers across the country have been stolen in the past few months. As for scouting as an organization I’ll say this, for a lot of the boys, and yes now girls scouting is the only experience they have with an adult especially male that cares about them being successful and learning with absolutely no other motive. And for the ones who abuse that trust the death penalty isn’t strong enough.
