Boy 5, walking along the road after Refusing to Take the Bus because of bullies

This is what happens when zero tolerance is the rule in schools. Let the kid or other kids stand up to their bullies, beat the shite out of them, and allow them to prosper..

My daughter has had to deal with the same shite. I finally had enough after the school would do shite and wouldn't budge on the issue. I told her if you feel threatened to the point you feel you have to fight then fight. If you get into a situation that there is no other recourse then throw the first punch and don't stop punching no matter what.

She ended up beating the hell out of a boy bigger than her because the cast on her arm. He pushed her. Well he learned real quick that a cast to the head doesn't feel very good. Love my girl!!!!


Call me trashy all you want. Order has been restored, and the school backed down when I threatened them with my attorney that they didn't take proper actions to resolve the issues ahead of time.

My kid has been through the routine twice.
Both times successful jack-slapping. Only 1 day suspension.
Took my kid to the amusement park his day off.

When a 5 yo bully finally gets his/her beat down they think twice about doing it again. At least to the same person. Schools are similar to football refs..... They only see the retaliation.

Bullies are probably older than 5.

Typical (physical) bullies are too nutless to pick on kids their own age, one on one. It's always someone 2-3 years younger or the bullies running in a pack.

How to deal with bullies:

Did they have to included the fact he pissed himself? C'mon man!

Five year old kids have been riding busses since the beginning of public transportation. I guess its just a different world we live in, but it seems like when I was a kid, you figured out a way to work out these problems like.. bullying.. It was pretty much a given that the older kids messed with the younger kids, it was just part of growing up.. And you did whatever you could to get back at them..

It sucks the little guy felt like he had to walk home to avoid being picked on, but I think sometimes.. the best thing to do is let kids work out their problems.. I am not saying let them walk home from school alone if they have to.. Not at 5, but make sure they don't take anything from anyone.

I taught at that school for about 5 weeks...put my resignation in because i got tired of all the bullshite.

I was teaching 4th and 5th grade math, and had fist fights weekly in the middle of class. The kids would go to the office, and were back in my room 10 min later. My classroom was destroyed every afternoon because of two kids, but couldn't do anything because they had (insert behavior problem here).

I was told that one of my fourth graders could leave class when he wanted to cool down, and he'd return when ready....never let him do that because if he walks off campus, it would have been my fault.

As for the kid in the article, I don't know if he was bullied, but there were fights everyday on the busses.

They can't keep teachers at the school because the kids run the place, and there is nothing they can do (because of the system in place) to get things under control.

Talked to one of the teachers that is still there yesterday, and she had a chair thrown at her, and the administration did nothing.

While I was there I was pushed by a student, a teacher had her hand slammed in a door, multiple teachers punched, and there is nothing they can do.

I have taught my daughter the same thing.

She will be starting boxing lessons at 4 years old because I don't want her to feel like she can't defend herself. If the system won't do what is right I'll teach her to do what is then.
