I saved up cash from cutting grass to buy a N64 at launch. Preordered that bitch with wrinkled up sweat covered cold hard cash.

Still GOAT. I could play this for hours today.

That theme song that played while the game was going on still rings in my head from time to time.

King of the Ring after beating Jake the Snake - I was at my friends house watching it when he launched into that tirade. Austin was the badass Vince needed at the right time.

I still have my N64 too.

I still have both my Super Nintendo and N64 and both work along with tons of games. I’ll play them once in a blue moon

hard to believe the graphics were so bad. In my memory it was high def

But it was the first mass 3D video game system though. So even though the graphics don’t hold up now (although honestly some games still do), it was the first time most of us had seen shite like that outside of maybe an arcade. Definitely was a big deal.

My NES still works occasionally. If I ever want to own my kids we’ll play SMB 1. They can rarely make it past the first level.

The amount of shite talked at school over who was going to beat who's arse on WCW/NWO and Ken Griffey baseball after school was always epic.
