love to see you spew this stupid dialogue if one of these guys killed your mother, sister or child. If there's even a .0000009% chance they were innocent then let them live right? Yeah ok.
Killing innocent people won't bring those people back.

Ok pussy. Tell me that when it's your family.
Go preach your stupid BS to people who don't know any better. To me, speaking from experience, I wish it would have been the way we fed Mike the Tiger. Toss them in, shut the door and put it on pay per view.

the innocents would have no opportunity to recourse with whoever prosecuted- because they'd be dead shortly after trial.
You're right. They wouldn't. But the one who sentenced them would get their end in a much more brutal fashion at the hands of the other death row inmates.
And like I said, via compensation (say x amount up front and then y amount each year after until the wrongfully executed would have turned 80), the family of the wrongfully killed would be in a better place financially afterwards. Leading to upwards mobility and ultimately doing more good for the victims family in the long run.

Not mad but good try. This is a family member issue you're speaking of for me. Get a new line by the way it's run its course. Typical NY trash

Dude. Come on. Don't bring emotions into this or your argument is just as bad as theirs.
Keep emotions out of it.
Keep emotions out of it.

Gov. John Bel Edwards said he’s interested in hearing the debate about abolishing the death penalty in Louisiana, but won’t commit one way or the other on the issue.
“I acknowledge that it costs a lot in terms of the criminal justice system to have the death penalty,” Edwards said during interview Monday with The Advocate’s editorial board. “But I am not endorsing moving away from the death penalty in Louisiana.”
Neither would Edwards commit to vetoing legislation if one of the two bills being considered by the Louisiana Legislature in the session that began Monday passes both chambers and makes it to his desk.
“I understand the indigent defenders (the lawyers who represent, at taxpayers' expense, most criminal defendants accused of capital crimes) could take $10 million right away and put it towards other types of cases that make up the overwhelming majority of their caseload,” Edwards said. ”I am sort of interested to see how the conversation goes and who really plays a part in that.”

It's easy to talk "oh let them live we can save them". Same thing these douchebags do with refugees. "They won't hurt anyone let them in" ok. Tell you what how many are you taking in at your house? They'll STFU fast just like if it was a family member they were saying it's ok he murdered them, and left them in a field to rot. He didn't mean to do it. He MIGHT be innocent so don't sentence him to death for his crime. It's easy when it's not you to make a stance on something, but when the rubber meets the road chumps like this can't be found.

Couldn't be further from the truth. Besides, not trusting the Government to do something without corruption/incompetence isn't exactly a liberal POV these days.
I am sorry for your loss, but as to your next question about what if were one of my family that was murdered
quote:
It all comes down to whether or not you value the life of the wrongfully murdered the same as the wrongfully executed (or the families of those same people). I do.

The gov't can't effectively deliver the mail yet we trust them and a jury "of our peers" to literally make a life and death criminal decision? No thanks.

I detest emotional arguments. Yours as much as the other sides.

The 8th Amendment gets downvotes. Never change, OT.

This was never my argument. If anything it's closer to "they're probably guilty, but probably means we'll kill innocent people". Let them rot in prison and save the taxpayers money, and the civil liability of possibly killing an innocent person.

The Govt. has been effectively delivering the mail for hundreds of years. You lie.
People convicted of Murder should be put to death. End of story.

Nope. Just stating that your argument is based strictly on emotion. Which is the weakest arguement to make. And one that is a sign of someone who can't thing logically or make unbiased decisions.
