Have to wonder if a private company with limited resources has something like Atlas. What does DARPA have hidden away?

Why the hell do we need this shite AND hyper intelligent AI. Like at what point do we just say frick it humans are obsolete... just argue on social media and be assholes to each other all the time, the robots will do everything else.

why dafuq are they always trying to make robots move like humans? there has to be a better method of propulsion than two legs.

Two-leg ambulation is far more efficient than four. That’s one reason why the dinosaurs were so successful.

I’ve done a good bit of work with robotics be it through clubs in university or hobby work now; or at work, and getting legs to function in a feedback control loop is probably one of the largest challenges imaginable

This project is just remarkably impressive.

Hypothetically speaking, what kind of weapon would I need in order to destroy one of those?

I’m sure eventually they will be equipped with an iron dome-type defense system. What the frick do we do then?

frick this whole idea.

Is the Tagline for this company:

Here at Boston Dynamics we spend all of our time wondering if we can, and never wondering if we should.

We need to make sure that AI doesn’t find out about these things. If the two ever combine...
