I know this is a popular belief, but none of what you've mentioned holds true in a state like Louisiana.

Don’t we already have enough intolerant dumbasses to deal with in the classroom?

Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I take vengeance on them.’”

Bull. shite. They want to stay anonymous to protect themselves. Doesn’t the School District have the right to face their accusers?

I don’t care. I was beat over the head with religion my whole life. I’d like to think it gave me a good moral compass. When I got old enough to decide for myself, I realized I didn’t need all of that. Kids need that magic shite. Easter Bunny, Santa, Tooth Fairy, Jesus. In the words of the GOAT country music band Lonestar, “Let them be little.”

Oh the horror of teaching morality and family values.

I'm sure you would feel the same way if the school was heavily pushing Judaism, Muslim, or any other religion.

Nah at least that teacher showed both sides....

We need to send Phil Robertson to Bossier to educate these parents. Disgusting.
You know, I went through an old post of mine from back in the day, and unfortunately I can’t bump the thread, but it was a thread I started calling the Duggars fricked up and that they were screwing up their kids hardcore. I really love this post from arktiger28 and how he was pissed at me questioning the Duggars:

Let's bump this thread in 20 years and see where these kids are. I guarantee you they will be in the top tier of society.
Hey arktiger28, it’s been less than 5 years since then, and the eldest brother raped 4 of his sisters and one of their friends. And this was the one who was directly raised by the parents and not under the buddy system. I can’t wait to see how the others turn out. I need to figure a way to bump the thread.

As far as the state is considered, there is no other side. It isn't a teachers place to bring that into the classroom. They live in Louisiana, they've heard plenty about creationism elsewhere.

The Robertson's are good people but they have family members who have "demons" and done drugs, pre-martial sex, etc... Of course people also put them on a pedestal because of their faith on a tv show and expect them to do no wrong.

That's ridiculous. I went to a Catholic school and they taught evolution and that's that.

Newsflash: You can have morality and family values without being a Christian.
My wife and I are both Atheists. We've never committed a crime, other than minor traffic violations and smoking weed in high school, and our son is being taught to respect those around him and live his life as a good person.

Louisiana has a fricked up education system from White all the way to how they handle student teachers.

Separation of church and state.
While I know people get all worked up and think the world is ending because people want to take "god" out of everything, this is what you do not understand.
Not everyone believes in the same thing. If you allow a teacher to bring religion into her classroom, they will bring in their version of what they believe. They can still be Christian, but teach a more conservative Christianity (or vice versa) so then you create an even bigger problem. People will start complaining "she told my kid this and we don't believe that, we believe something else".
Then, what if a kid comes into the class who isn't even Christian? They could be Mormon, Islam, etc..
I just looked at the numbers of people in each religion.. There are 2.1 billion Christians, 1.3 billion Islam and I was surprised to see this.. 1.1 billion or nonreligious (secular/agnostic/atheist), which I would imagine is the fastest growing "religious related" groups.

You don't think going 100% against your boss's curriculum isn't a big deal? You don't think a teacher telling students that non-Christians are inherently bad people isn't a big deal? Even in North Louisiana, that's not going to fly. You can think that stuff, but you can't think that's ok to tell students in a public school.

The morals and values taught by religion is much better than those taught by television and social media.
