This silliness in Minnesota is a good example of doubling down on bad ideas based in emotions and ego.

That’s okay, you don’t have to believe it. There has been zero appropriations or reform to make our backlogged immigration courts be more efficient/faster to process. That’s one of the major causes of mass illegal immigration. Not all, but much of it…

Typical lawyer
I'm illustrating getting emotionally involved in one particular area isn't the best strategy.
If we have to use the same resources to oust 1illegal in MN that we could oust 10 in TX, I prefer the TX method.

Waltz and Trump are both acting on emotion and pride
And their hardcore supporters don’t give a frick and will ride off the cliff with them

Sure, but what does that matter for a person who is advocating for deporting illegals in the most intelligent and rational way? Waltz is never going to agree with that.

Like saying the officer ran all the way across the street to shove a woman? Those kind of facts?

selfishly, I somewhat agree. Would love to remove all the illegal trash and H1Bs from Texas. If this means letting blue states rot, ohh well.

It is not. We have already done this.

It matters in the context of this situation. His rhetoric and stance is just as damning. There are other democrat-run states that comply with detainers. Where they don’t, ICE is more proactive yet governors don’t talk about it every chance they get. What makes Minneapolis such an outlier? Timing with the fraud? Waltz being idiotic? Media attention for their clickbait?
Point being, if this area is being treated so differently by Trump’s DHS, what caused that? It’s not just his ego. Waltz is a lame duck. If anything, he’s been trying to push California as being the biggest issue with immigration and fraud. That’s more politically motivated than anything happening in Minnesota.

Ok
The officer walked across the street to then shove the woman. Better?

Not really
Trump's admin engaging in silliness and ego doesn't preempt Waltz and the city from doing the same. Partisan brain rot doesn't exist only on one pole.
The whataboutism just isn't' really relevant to this story, generally, or my proposed/preferred policies.

Regardless, it's still only discussing the framing of the facts of the incident itself

See my edit. I’m not saying there isn’t political/personal motivation by Trump. Just that he doesn’t seem to care all that much about Minnesota compared to California which he brings up every chance he gets. Minneapolis isn’t some special place ICE went to for no reason. It was in line with a ton of other cities that don’t comply with detainers. Where we are now has more to do with them than Trump imo.

Yes, after being approached by the woman. I am not condoning the shoving. I am saying that was not his intent when going across the street, as the disingenuous lawyer stated.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Also does anyone know if he was carrying ID & his permit on his person at the time of shooting?
It is being alleged that he was not
