as an independent, this makes me wonder, what WOULD it take for a D to vote R or a R to vote D? like, for those of y'all so firmly rooted in your political party is there NOTHING that they can do that would make you say "nah, that's it", at least for the one election cycle, even? i've always been curious about that

It's going to be about voter enthusiasm, which is why every even-numbered year leading up to an election you see things like this happening that the power brokers use to rile up their bases.

Video evidence abounds yet you cretins still make these arguments, absolutely pathetic but exactly on track with people like you.

This entire situation in Minnesota is the result of the political left refusing to hold anyone accountable or enforce the law in any substantive way.

Which is why, even given this outcome and my belief that ICE has some level culpability, I still fully support the ICE mandate in Minnesota.

The national Left is responding to that.

The "national Left" has responded to ICE operations in many cities and states.

Yet there still seems to be a very glaring difference in how those situations were handled vice Minneapolis.

Why? I mean are you incapable of giving a straight answer? Or is your answer simply "lots of ICE agents" as to why Minneapolis has handled this differently?

you have to know this is a ridiculous statement considering the context.

Yeah, not advocating for complete lawlessness is “marching orders”

Oh, I'm following it very well. What I'm questioning is the cognitive jump from "woman pushed, so Pretti getting involved is justified"

Are you, as an attorney, asserting that it's a valid excuse to interfere with law enforcement if you see another person being pushed to the ground?

I mean I certainly don't think you'd hold that assertion. So then why bring it up as justification?

Because the admin made MN the flash point, as my prior post (that you quoted and I've cited twice) clearly stated.

Which of these cities had the "largest ICE operation ever" announced in their cities?

It's pretty clear

What's ridiculous is what the ice officers did to alex and that woman yesterday. Zero attempt to de escalate, immediately assault a non violent American citizen

Ok, so it's pretty clear then that your answer as to why Minneapolis handled this differently is "lots of ICE agents"

Why? What is their reasoning? Do you think that reasoning is justified?

Would we deport more if they removed the agents from MN and sent them to a red area with more local cooperation? Yes.

If your goal is to remove the max number of illegals, that's a better policy

Because the systemic problems created by the massive illegal immigration caused by the administration has serious negative consequences for the entire Republic regardless of where these immigrants settle. Just focusing on Red States because they actually enforce the law exacerbates these problems.

The Democrat Party would absolutely love for Trump to only run ICE operations in red states.

I do think one reason, far from the only, is Walz was on the ticket against Trump/Vance

which IYO justifies ICE being taunted, harassed, threatened, doxxed, and assaulted now and going forward?

Oh, I'm following it very well.

Not based on your last comment.

The shove references the woman shoved by the BP agent that started this whole shite show.

quote:

He didn't seem to do much other than go to her and help her up.

quote:

Are you, as an attorney, asserting that it's a valid excuse to interfere with law enforcement if you see another person being pushed to the ground?

If LEO acts illegally, they aren't performing lawful duties. How can a citizen interfere with lawful duties that don't exist?

Was he justified in physical aggression or attacking LEO? No. All he did was get between the LEO acting illegally and the woman to help her up. LEO then escalated the situation further by macing people.

LEO, for no valid or lawful reason, escalated a situation, then escalated it further, and used this as a justification for shooting a man who was likely disarmed and who never physically threatened the officers (let alone in a way that gave a reasonable fear of death).

Don't bother. He was probably jerking it to the SCOTUS decision in Arizona v. United States.
