exactly what I thought when I read this. I understand that lots of oyster beds were killed by the last opening and I would expect this round to finish them off.

Yeah, it’s definitely a necessary evil, but man it sucks for the next season when they have to open her up.

probably going to kill off beds that have been passed down through generations of harvesters...I would think that will kill the livelihood of a number of folks.
