Bogalusa’s 23 YO Mayor loses second court case

Former mayor made FOIA requests for info related to the cities decision not to pay her unused sick and vacation time. The court found that 2 documents were withheld in a capricious manner. Between court costs, paying the mayors lawyer, and FOIA fines the city is looking at around 15k, plus their consulting attorneys fees.
It seems like the mayors hires are smart people, they just weren’t prepared for the roles they were given. The bulk of them seem like they can eventually figure the jobs out. I look for the city to get all these court cases behind them before we see what this mayors efforts actually look like. I’m skeptical that the money is there for his plans. We shall see.

Probably doesn’t have enough money in the coffers to do everything he wants to do, so he thought he would try to get away with not paying her.

I’m amazed that back in the 1920s the Babe Ruth-led Yankees actually played an exhibition game in Bogalusa. From boomtown to bust.

Why do you continue to believe this? Baby Obama was elected because that’s exactly what people saw. 40 years ago I thought Bogalusa was the shite, this coming from someone about 24 miles to the west. What Bogalusa has become makes it a shite stain on a Parish that’s not really at the top of anything, except poor and uneducated for a lot of our citizens.

Unfortunately, no. I was doing some research there about 20 years ago and came across that story in the paper's archives. My guess is that none of that has been digitized.
