MEDFORD, Ore. – Today a United Airlines Flight landed safely in Medford (MFR) and was discovered to be missing a panel. The plane is a Boeing 737-800.

No issues were reported on the flight from San Francisco to Medford according to MFR Airport Director Amber Judd. It was during a post-flight check that an issue with the exterior of the aircraft was discovered (see picture). MFR staff searched airport property but didn’t find any evidence of the missing panel.

I can't tell if this stuff happens alot and we don't hear about it but now the media is reporting every mishap to pile on.

Or if Boeing is really a heaping pile of shite and planes are about to start raining out of the sky.

Someone who knows what they're talking about fill me in.

It's pretty much the same as before. But anything with the word Boeing in the title gets clicks.

That's not to say that Boeing isn't a disaster. The MAX is a massive pile of garbage and things like the Alaska Air door flying off and the previous Max crashes are purely Boeings fault but now if something as simplas as the left wing landing light doesn't work it gets blasted all over the news.

United declared an emergency 5 times this week. That can often mean benign stuff but 5 times in 1 week isn’t a great look for DEI Airlines.

So that makes what, 7 issues within last 10 days and 5 have been on United

ETA: Amazing that SW only flys boeing 737s and they haven't had a single issue. Makes you wonder about the workforce and inspections.

At this point I’m wondering if this is some sort of sabotage.

It’s a shame the whistleblower took his own life. Maybe he had all the knowledge into what’s happening. What a tragic, unforeseen, not suspicious death.

Not currently. About a decade or so ago Southwest went through a string of engine disintegrations and fuselage cracks.

The other two were American with the 777 emergency in LA and then the Australian 787 Dreamliner

Prior to that was the Alaska Air door.

I had a United flight this week that I was sitting on the plane at the gate for longer than the flight time bc “some paint was peeling”.

So they REALLY cracking down and yet this shite keeps happening.

A United flight from Baton Rouge to Houston today lost pressure in the cabin and had to stay under 10,000 feet for half the trip. It wasn't a Boeing plane, but still…
