So basically, because it's easier? What a stupid fricking reason to not want similar punishments for males vs. females in that situation.
I get that we joke around here about guilty vs. not guilty based on looks and all that. But fricking a young teenager is wrong, and the penalties shouldn't be harsher for dudes as opposed to females. It's all bad so they should all be punished accordingly (assuming the situations are comparable).

This infantilizing of teenagers and extending childhood into the mid to lates 20s is very much a post- industrialization phenomenon.
I’m not saying it’s not a crime, but get out of here with that overhyped analysis. He’s a 15 year old boy who got his dick wet. He ain’t scarred for life.

We didn’t “evolve.” We went from working in fields and farms as a close family unit with little to no formal education to working out of the house in factories and plants and needing someone to watch the kids during the day. Viola - compulsory state education was invented to babysit until age 18 so dad, and later mom, can be out working.
It just so happened that about 3-4 of those last years overlapped with what society at that time considered “young adults.” Fast forward 130 years and now we think of them as little children. But Mother Nature is undefeated.

Shouldnt be but are.
I feel like the men who do this put way more effort into the catch than the females do.
Just my opinion. If you think females are going as hard as the male teachers then women are far worse off than I ever thought.

Yeah this whole line of thinking is terrifying. Exactly why I would be terrified to jump back into the dating pool and why young men growing up need to be extremely careful.
Its wild to think some have the opinion that its not that big of a deal because shes a woman and we assume the 15 year old wanted it to bad that he wasnt manipulated in any way. Have the exact same scenario with the sexes reversed and its worse. Both are not ok.
