you were in the OT mens' section, not the regular fatty mens' section

Didn’t even know kohls was still a thing.
People love cheap clothing and the Amazon return partnership has increased their foot traffic. They usually hand you a coupon for 25% off an item each time you return something. I was returning to Kohl's but started using Whole Foods returns since they're closer to me and I get a good laugh looking at their prices.

happen to notice that the mannequins in the women section were all different sizes none of them were as skinny as the supermodel body type that was the standard for decades. And there were some real fatties sporting fatty sized cloths.
But only in the women’s section. I was curious so I checked out the men’s section and strangely, no fat mannequins. They were all fit, muscular sized.
I noticed this at Target the last few years when I would go in with my wife and hang with our son while she shops. Exact same thing. Women of all shapes and sizes, men looking cut and svelte.
Either men don't care, or more likely, women want men that look good and they're doing most of the shopping at a place like Kohls or Target. Target and Kohls are trying to get women shoppers' attention with the cut male mannequins and pictures.

men are less likely to lie to themselves
A 36+ waste with moobs being in shape and healthy is a lie most men tell themselves every day

Yeah, we need men's fatty mannequins so we can see the actual size of a Large vs Extra Large shirt. I used to buy Extra Large shirts as a matter of course as I'm a 6'2 fit male and I needed the length. But these days (because of all you fatty males out there) an Extra Large can be huge around the waste, big enough to fit two of me.
On the other hand, in reality IDGAS as I never walk into a store and look at men's clothes.

It also shows that men are less likely to lie to themselves, or seek to be lied to.
Now lets do an OT thread where everyone compares their current fitness levels.
How many "I played football high school" baws we gonna get?

Ran a 5k this past weekend under 55min with a bum knee.
Last time I ran or worked out was 12 months ago when I ran the same 5k
I stayed in shape running from the police instead

Both the male and female mannequins are there for the women. Guys don't look at that (other than to see the pattern) when buying clothes.

I gave up believing store advertising when I kept being fooled by the ads that said = "women's dresses half off" - they never were.

Like many things, body positivity had some decent roots when it came to young girls. Models in the 90's were unhealthily skinny

And I never not check out the arse and tits on the woman mannequins. Why wouldn’t I ?

There ya go. It's weird to me that the bony sternum look was ever "the look."

Definitely a double standard. It’s not fashionable for chunky men to be in advertisements.
It’s also harder to stay in shape these days than it was 20+ years ago. More and more food is loaded with chemicals that are unhealthy. Many jobs are more demanding than ever with businesses trimming the fat, which means less and less time to work out. The stresses of family life in the modern economy aren’t good for the body either. More and more men are having to supplement income with side gigs. All of those little things add up.
