People assume comments like that are intended to indict media for focusing on white people.
In truth, media outlets are chasing #s and a white girl that goes missing is someone relatable for the biggest target audience - white women who watch Dateline and 20/20 and 48 Hours and live and breath this stuff.
They won't admit it, but it becomes entertainment for them, and the media responds in kind. White women don't look at a black sex worker that goes missing and say "wow could have been me"

There's dozens of ways to dispose of a corpse so it can't be found. They are STILL looking for Jimmy Hoffa aren't they??? Have they found Jimmy Hoffa yet??? And this is a guy that had international headlines when he disappeared, plus the full force of the U.S. law enforcement agencies on the case looking for him.

I work with farmers all the time. If there is a group of people good at telling officials of any form (especially some form of government) what they want to hear, it's farmers.

Exactly.
The phenomenon has been studied before. As grizzly as it sounds, the white girl next door going missing is a big win for the media.
People care about this story because it's an attractive white girl, and most of the people who watch the news can relate to an attractive white girl.

Damn right unhinged when hundreds of kids are being killed or hurt annually in Chicago with no movement in shutting it down. The same people crying racism or implying it in this case are wasting their time because the victim was white. Just taking a cheap shot at whites for the sake of being cute or funny. Maybe in this small town they take this sort of thing more seriously and less political no matter what happens. Wasn't there just, unfortunately, a young black girl missing several weeks ago and it garnered national attention? Her community got involved no matter what her race was. It doesn't matter what the race of the child or person is if the community takes action to find them and bring the criminals to justice. Chicago is so political that they don't move without checking the political fallout. Fake racism outrage at an obvious tragedy just gets in the way of something constructive actually happening. I would hope you and "terd" could actually see this and offer something more than a ridiculous racist comment.
