I think I saw it said that the damage was consistent with what you see on someone falling on their head from 15-20 feet. Basically, really hard/impossible to do that much damage by yourself in a slip and fall.
ETA: Someone quoted it on page 2...20-30 foot fall.

I’m with lithium on the frontal bone thing. I’ve seen plenty of falls, MVCs, GSWs and not seen this kind of damage before (unless the bullet went through the orbit or frontal bone, obviously).

Ummm no
The medial wall and the floor are thin. The roof, especially at the superior orbital rim, is thick and strong.
Maybe you could punch through right at one of the foramen. I’ve never tried, and I doubt it. But maybe.
You’re not punching your finger through the middle of a healthy section of frontal bone.

I have actually stayed at the hotel for about a week total over two visits last 8 months or so. On the exact floor once for sure, possibly the same damn room. (There was no one there and i got bumped up into suite)
These are not padded rooms, there is marble counter tops etc, all over. He could have easily hit his head on something. There are also security cameras everywhere, active security, and it’s kinda isolated. No one could get into the room on that floor and not be picked up half a dozen times by cameras, even if they snuck in at dark from the lakes.
