I did football in early 2000s. Really enjoyed it. I still remember a kid asking Bob if he was pregnant

Not sure why but for some reason I think that was Louis Cook?

I coached under Randy while I was at LSU. He is a top flight human and very good with kids. A real soul in that guy.

I was able to coach during his last year before he passed. Randy was running the program but Mr. Bob was driving around in his golf cart.
Was honestly one of the most enjoyable experiences while in undergrad. By the time I finished coaching Mr. Randy’s oldest east QB at Tara and we always end up competing against each other with the older kids.

Coached for his organization in 92 & 93. Great guy that really cared about the kids.
Fringe benefits were the single MILFS - 19 year old Coach72 would pay a little extra attention to Billy or Evan, and it was game on!

The most "successful" student of Morgans program was Major Applewhite, as far as I know. Anyone know of others?

So many good memories. One summer I was really dominating my age group, and getting a little cocky. Bob bumped me up to the oldest group which was probably a 3 year age gap. He sat there all practice watching me struggle to keep up with the drills and getting beat by the older kids.
I started crying. Bob pulled me out and we had a good talk before getting in his van to drive back to the younger kids gym. But he stopped and bought me a snowball before going back. Great guy. RIP

I played a few years of tackle football out there ….
One of the years he couldn’t move around as much so he had to be a mean old cuss from afar…then he got a scooter and was meaner than ever. Great times

Same. Bob was a Marine. So were my sons. When my oldest was on his first deployment in Iraq, Bob and his coaches signed a poster of an old Marine recruiting poster and sent it with care packages to my son’s company c/o him.
He’s still holding on to it. Bob and Randy were great guys they kept good staff around them.

Yes, I believe that is correct. I have dug out some old photos recently and found some recently from Bob Morgan and there was one of me and coach Louie. And my MVP trophy??

Until this thread I never knew he operated out of Lafayette, also. Never knew he was a marine, either. My favorite memory was having "bets" with the baseball coaches for a coke at lunch.

Never heard of this.
And that’s my contribution to this thread

People sit around watching their kids at an all day camp these days? Maybe like 2%

Probably close to 0% back then.
Not sure what point you’re making.

It’s close to zero now. And if you read the OP, he closed his “back in the day when everything was awesome” … with
As if now parents are staying and watching day camps. Nobody does that shite.
