Ok, that’s rich considering that the DA and mayor have hardly been keeping up their end.
When you trump up charges for political reasons against cops, don’t be surprised when they don’t want to work calls.

That was before they were pretty much neutered by bureaucrats and animals were allowed to take over the streets. Can’t blame cops for being very leery of citizens the last few years.
Neutered how?
If anything, they were given more leeway and now we are trying to take some of it back and they are fighting it tooth and nail.

Two weeks ago 2 officers were fired for pointing tasers at protesters. The DA said, “tasers are considered lethal weapons under Georgia law”
Atlanta is going to get sued back into the stone ages after it’s said and done if there is even a city left.

Thanks for posting that video. My husband is an officer in Dallas and I can’t even begin to tell you the hell we are living as a family right now. I have never cried more tears. I have never been more fearful for my children’s safety. I have never been so scared that my husband isn’t coming home. It absolutely sucks right now. And on top of that, we have our “friends” sending us messages full of hate and vitriol. I wish my husband could do what that officer did and quit. I pray every day that he gets that opportunity soon.

what are they saying to you? That's awful.
Stay strong.

Right, I'm just saying that providing more training to be able to handle that instance where the suspect starts resisting when you're slapping the cuffs on should be additional training available to them
Unfortunately, you can train in a pre-arranged setting all you want and get bad results. It comes down to the FTO and actual hands-on experience. I had a great FTO that PUT me in tense scenarios and graded me on those. Each dept probably has different FTO guidelines but my training carried me through my career in 2 states and I never had to pull my sidearm to get someone under control. It's a feel you get for it.

holy shite there is something so real to this. nowadays they seem to be trained as interchangeable parts to a unit where as they used to be actual individuals of the community. maybe society changed too much too fast but cops need to be humanized again. in both their own role, and the citizens eyes.
Can't help but notice my initial post this was a response to was heavily downvotes, but this reply agreeing tit has all upvotes and no downvotes.
So if y'all agree with the premise, can we have an actual conversation on it?

there is absolutely no reasoning with Democrats and SJW's. they twist and bend each and every thing in order to fit their anti-America agenda.
they could have video of a criminal holding a cop down on the ground with a gun in his mouth and they would still find a way to justify said criminal's actions and do everything they can to protect him.
this isn't about facts, statistics, or the truth with them. they have a clear cut agenda and they are all going forward full throttle with it.

Sadly friends are going by the wayside these days. Family is most important

But also: like my 94 year old grandmother who passed recently said, "Police used to be known by everyone. They walked their beat and got to know everyone in the neighborhood. They were human.
I went to walk your cousin home from school and said hello to the police officer, and he glanced at me and then ignored me. It was very rude.
I just think things were better when they were 'police men' instead of'police officers'.
People also used to treat police officers with respect, now we expect them to take frozen water bottles to the head and not react.

08 believe me when I say this a majority of this country is very proud of the men and women in blue. Don't let the libatards spill their hate all over you because of a few instances where a few bad cops were wrong. If you are looking on moving Florida appreciates their police officers and i am sure there is plenty of work out here. Stay strong

Your post history has you proclaiming you are glad your husband isn't with BRPD anymore because the chief was trying to hold officers more accountable than the Union preferred and trying to defend the Dallas cop who shot her neighbor.
So there's that.

And this is why nothing changes. Both sides want to pre-empt the other to be the first a-hole.
