BR doesn't have a huge number of major IT employers. Maybe 10-12 that pay well.

I've worked in the field for 20 years in this market for 2 of the larger ones and the way people bounce around nowadays it's pretty common to have a lot of contacts at the larger companies. They are probably the largest IT department outside of the state government in BR.

There benefits package is great. Relative worked there 5 years ago and her health insurance was free with no deductible. That’s worth it’s weight in gold.

That sounds nice. I hit my deductible with a splinter in my finger.

I’m in IT also. Know many of their people. I have been told they don’t intend to bring their IT staff back to the office now that they’ve established remote work. They had space issues before Covid.

Just get it in writing with the offer that you’ll always be allowed to work from home.

Lol hit my deductible and still owed 5k for my sons surgery. Good times. But I’m sure it’s better working for them.

Unless she is wicked hideous, post some pics.

OP: The folks I’ve known & worked with from BCBS LA were very professional and pleasant to deal with.

One was a particularly pleasant female but I don’t take pics in business meetings.

Just out of curiosity, what is the salary range of IT employees at BCBS? I’ve considered applying there several times over the years (programming/data side).

I have a decent amount of hiring input in this market but it's impossible to say based on your question without more information. What is your length of experience, certifications, education level etc?
