Anyone here work for them? I just got offered a position (IT Security) and I was wondering what to expect. I lived in Baton Rouge from '06-'10 and while I loved it, my BMI didn't. Thankfully, this position is 100% remote but I assume that would change with COVID BS being lifted. Did they ever finish the construction on I-12? What about I-10 heading into NOLA?

Just tell them you want to be 100% remote forever and live someplace good. I’m sure they need in-house IT people, but also that the majority can be remote.

I work in IT too and know a lot of people who work for them. It's a decent company from what I understand. I gather that it's a fairly rigid and stuffy type of environment but that's pretty much the case with all big companies.

I-12 has been done for 7-8 years. I-10 is just about done to Prarieville.

BCBS bends me over and doesn't even buy me dinner first. And that's just on my premiums!

I work in that general area as well although I've been mostly remote since March.

Traffic still sucks in BR but if you don't have kids just live close to work. If you do have kids and end up moving back to the area, Prairieville is your best option to their facility unless you want to pay for private school.

I hear the pay sucks but that’s just for line staff.

I don't work for them, but my deductible went up and my benefits went down after Obamacare.

Yeah, if I had to move I'd have to factor that in. Last I lived in BR, I was single and didn't care.

I'm glad I have this website for advice

Have a friend that started within the past couple weeks with one of the various IT groups there. He loves it so far. They shipped him an entire setup, including a Surface Pro, dock, and dual 24" mons.

Doubtful IT will be going back to work. Very few are. Productivity is good and that’s a ton of office space available for rent.

Dutchtown school district is about as good as you'll find in this area and about 10 miles from their facility. It's hard to call it an office because it's a massive compound.

Construction on I-10 going that way is nearly complete also.
