At least he won’t have to watch Destroya cancel Mardi Gras next year

Condolences to my old All Saints classmates Brian and Blainey . Their Dad drove up and bought us dinner a few times and was gracious and engaging. He also let us drink wine which was against the rules, but really cool. RIP.

RIP Mr. Blaine. Dirty old man tried to pick up on my wife at the Dry Dock when we lived in the Point. He certainly had a joy of life.

I was there... Your wife couldn't keep her hands to herself.

Dude was cool as hell. I met him a few times at MG balls or other events back in the ‘90’s. Reminded me of what one of the rat pack would have been like back in the day.

That is a great article. That man was a LEGEND and lived life to the fullest. And he grew up poor, so it just goes to show you that if you dream big and are determined in life, anything is possible.

Hopefully he and his son were able to bury the hatchet and make things right before his passing.

Yes, they did shortly years back after they were disagreeing on the direction of the company since Sr. was getting up in age (though he still seemingly had more energy than people 40 years younger than him) and had the young wife who he was blowing $$$ on. I remember Sr. talking on the radio about how they had patched things up and were close again.

To live hard and fast like he did, and make it to 93, is amazing. Never met him but by all accounts he was a good man and an innovator. RIP.
