I remember that now. The BP part threw me off. There was a circle k next door but that BP was something else. My aunt and uncle still live down Morgan Road.

You ever hear the name of something and it’s a crazy memory jog? I just had that seeing SuperFresh.

That’s where Oak Point is now right?

Edit - Frogs! First thing that came to mind when I saw BP. I went to St Alphonsus for K-8 sortof across the street. There was a BP by Central Middle too but they changed the name after the oil spill.

I remember Nooley’s right there.

Oh wow. I had totally forgotten about Nooleys. My buddy and I would ride our bikes from Comite Hills, eat something at Nooley’s, and then hit Video USA across the parking lot to rent the latest Nintendo game. Good times. If we had really saved up our money, we would grab a pizza from Domino’s.

shite that pool hall was the spot when we'd skip class back in 97-99.

The pool hall was named Family Billiards. I hung around that place quite frequently as a youngin. Played many games of pool ha.

The Magnolia Corner was a hang out. Grew up in Forest Glen and would cut through woods to go to 7-11. The Circle K was a 7-11 first. Many of Big Gulps were bought there. The billards hall was actually an Arcade back in the 80s.

You probably went to school with my sisters.

The only time I ever went to Blackies I was 17.

Super fresh was my first job.

I am like LL though- moved away right after high school.

Eta: I still have two family members who own houses on the same street as Blackies

Winn Dixie in Hooper was my first job. It was where the hardware store is now though.

Im liking this Central nostalgia thread. I've lived here almost my whole life and dont remember some of what y'all are talking about. Still brings back a lot of old memories though!

We used to hang out there but I'm pretty sure that is in BR. Central starts on Greenwell Springs about halfway between Flannery and Frenchtown. My girlfriend in HS lived in Shamrock Gardens on Flannery and used her grandparent's address to go to Central HS.
