My brother worked there for Larry S. They had the best deli back then.
I saw Mr Larry at the gym about 10 years ago and he was getting in shape to become a sheriff until he could retire. Guess he got out of the store business.
They used to run Kelly's Food Mart on Plank Road too. I always thought it was cool when I was hanging out with Derek that we could walk in the store and grab what we wanted.

Grew up off Frenchtown throughout my childhood. I probably went into that store at least once a day as a kid.
Planchet and yeah the same, every day, even before and after I worked there.

Looking back, I am sad places like that went under after Wal-Mart came in and dominated. I
Rode by there the other day for the first time in over 10 years and was sad to see the closed up run down building. Big part of my childhood/youngadulthood.

Growing up in Tanglewood we used to ride our bikes to Mays AG on the corner of Lovett and Joor. You could cut through the back of the neighborhood and a field to get there.
It's a fenced in parking lot across from Shell now. That little strip mall has been gone a long time now.
