I must have missed the part where she presented her credentials as the representative for all Black people.

Urban blacks generally don't like urban latinos and vice versa, that's hardly a secret. Not really sure how what I said is racist. I was commenting on another poster's sarcastic remark about this story changing the board's "attitude toward black people."

You're not sure how this is racist?

This is pretty par for the course for blacks, they don't care how shitty their community is, as long as they can drag other groups down with them.

This is funny because blacks are so used to being coddled by their enablers and now that attention is being split with another group, they're outraged and don't know how to handle it. It's exactly like when a couple has a second child and the petulant first born becomes jealous of their younger sibling.

Correct. Your outrage is weak.

I guess I should ignore reality to avoid being called a racist?

Opinions like this are what's ruining this country. I would fight for the right for you to be able to have this opinion. But I'd also fight for my right to tell you how stupid it is.

You're a racist for seeing the obvious irony of that statement.

The best part about her saying this is that most people won't criticize her because it's the truth.

If it were a white woman or man, there would be an uproar about racism.

However, I love that she stood up and said it because to be honest, it needs to be said.

I'm all for what she said and agree with it

Yup.

maybe illegal immigration is the key to bringing race relations between black and white together.

I'm shocked at appointing an illegal.......that's reckless and wrong.

BUT, most of the jobs the Hispanic community occupies are jobs the African-American counter parts want no part of. Also, her experience has a great deal to do with her being antagonistic while looking for employment. I'd also be willing to bet she was NOT fired for not being able to speak Spanish, rather (if it was that cause) it was likely in her job description. Otherwise, she could sweep them clean in court.

My personal experiences with Hispanics has been very positive. My personal experiences with African-Americans under the same circumstances has not.

Here's the thing, most jobs are jobs their counterpart AA's want no part of. That's because they are given a choice of working and earning their money, or letting others work and being given their money- often times an amount in excess of what the mimum wage-earners bring in. When there are literally generations of people who have adopted and take pride in a tradition of welfare and dependence, it's not surprising that they continue to do the same thing- there has to be a catalyst which will cause a jarring change.

Crackdown on hiring illegals on a nationwide scale and severely cutback on welfare and benefits for societal leeches and pretty soon you'll be surprised at how many people of any ethnicity are "willing" to work those jobs. The only way we can right this ship is by economically forcing those living comfortably on the dole to choose the freedom of work over the prison of bare-bones sustenance living- because that is the only assistance which should be given to government dependents- the very bare minimum necessary for survival and absolutely nothing more.
