Both are useless degrees that should not be eligible for student loans. Student loan debt could be less of a problem if it was restricted to STEM, education, and business degrees since those grads will likely find employment other than working at Starbucks.

In my mind black studies is a lot of funk music, slam poetry and Dolemite. It seems like a great major

Had a friend of mine rant to me about this awhile back (justified). His argument was that African American studies teaches students to essentially hate the people who are making it possible for them to go to school in the first place.

There's no need for women's or black studies classes to be curved since everybody will get an A.

Classes with curves generally are harder classes. For example there are plenty of engineering classes that are curved 20 or 30 points so that most of the class doesn't get an F.
