How many hangings do you have personal knowledge of? Are you like 300 years old?
I took a class in college and wrote a long paper on the history, prevalence, statistics, and frequency of extrajudicial violence (lynchings) in the New South (1865 to 1974).
Two fun facts:
1) more whites were lynched in the South in this period than blacks
2) more black males are killed violently in the US by other black males in a month than were killed in the entire 110 year history of Southern lynching.
Oh, and a bonus fact: Hanging was not the most prevalent method for either blacks or whites.
This is a subject where I simply know more about than you do. So I'm happy to discuss it. But I know you won't.

Just because you’ve been programmed to not believe it happened, it did indeed happen. Times were different and hatred of black people was strong, like now but not hidden. And just because it wasn’t reported doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

I just said that I studied the subject from an academic standpoint for a college semester and wrote a 50 page paper on the subject. I haven't been programmed to believe anything. I actually did the work on the subject. That's something that you obviously haven't done.

You actually think that hatred of blacks by whites is the same now as in the 1950’s and 1960’s, but just more hidden?
Thats’s demonstrably false, and by a wide margin.
However, what might actually be true is that black hatred of white people is similar now to the 1950’s and 1960’s (after going down in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s), and it is not only more out in the open, racism towards whites has been institutionalized.

The lynching narratives have been proven false. Bolivar County Coroner’s Office put out a release stating there was no additional physical harm to the young man’s body.

What is going on in Mississippi? I hope the rumors people tried to spread about the black guy having broken bones, which was false, did not push anyone to do this to this guy (there is even a security video of the black guy committing suicide).

Vicksburg Police are currently investigating the incident and said the incident is not related to the death at Delta State University.
