This is amusing, my wife is retired from a 25 year career, almost exclusively spec ed in inner city schools, from pre-K to 3rd grade. The race mix at most of the schools was 80%-90% POC. She can tell you that the first few months are trying to teach them to be teachable. They generally come with no discipline, no one has ever read to them, the TV was their babysitter. She was generally one of the few white teachers, but she said the black teachers were much more severe than she ever dared to be.

The loneliest night of the years was parent's night, very few ever came, some years none at all.

I’d be fine with having a “conversation” about white privilege and “inequity” if that also meant we could talk about the breakdown of the African-American family and what they should be doing to fix it.

I find this hard to believe. If that were true, you'd think you'd see this manifest into crimes being committed at a greater rate as they age. Oh wait........

Just like Police, if you're not in their domain you can't judge.

Go do the job for 30 days and get back to us.

Breaking news at 10: People who have never been disciplined at home require more discipline outside the home.
