I've heard of studies where they control for this (somehow). The black kids were still punished at a higher rate.
I don't know how much it really happens, though. In elementary school once, I was punished by a white teacher for something I didn't do and that wasn't my fault. That's probably happened to white kids too though.

So many black and brown kids are not prepared for school in the slightest. Their parents don’t prepare them.
My mom prepared me and all of my siblings for school so that we were ahead of the game.
A lot of black kids are behind from the moment they start. And that goes for everything, including discipline, not just academically. And I’m not saying there aren’t a lot of white kids also in that category, it’s just much more common with minorities.

What we are being told is that some people must be treated differently because of their race. This has already become government policy through affirmative action and racial preferences in hiring and educational opportunities. It would be natural to extend that same special treatment to discipline and criminal issues. While the old Jim Crow ways were wrong, this is a path that will only lead to more anger and resentment. The rules need to be the same for all of us.

i got accused by the black assistant principal for lighting a match. She said she had me on video, I told her to show it then, she said no, so i laughed in her face. Suspended me for 3 fricking days. ive never lit a fricking match at school.
Another time the white social studies teacher kicked me out of class and made me sit in the hallway for talking, I wasnt even the one talking. I basically just said this is why kids hate school, because of teachers like you picking on students for no reason.
So yeah, it happens to white kids.
