What guy wants to hear his wife say she got moist over a random dude's comment and then turn it around and say I am using this to strengthen our marriage? It's not a crisis.

This. I can't say how many times I've heard women say something like "I'm so tired of pickup lines. I wish a guy would just do something original to get my attention." This guy does that by observing her and breaking the ice (if that is even what he was intending to do) by giving her what they all crave - sincere observance of and attention to female emotion, and he is labeled "creepy" for it.

This wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.
While she is making entirely too big of a deal over that guys comments, at least she is self aware enough to realize what's going on in her life.
I'd rather have someone who's overly self aware versus a glaringly oblivious "count".
