Billions upon billions are spent on people with no quality of life who medical practitioners know are never going to get better.

The first paragraph sounds totally reasonable in cases of terminal illness.

Until, you realize that, when given the power, the government will come up with new and increasingly imaginative definitions of "terminal illness."

We're starting to see reports that Canada is offering the "service" to teens who are depressed. That should be clearly evil.

I'm okay with spending too much on first few months of life because they have a whole life in front of them. It's those that are 90 and can't make a sentence that family are saying yes put them under $700,000 more of surgeries to lengthen life for 2 more months that is a problem.
