Its great for me but still I am concerned because historically this never ends well for the wealthy elite

i feel like a lot of people in the thread are missing this entire point. the reason our country is so fricked now is because of the billionaire class and the 100+ millionaire class of the past buying the government and rigging the system.
How did Elon or Bezos rig the system more than say Pelosi or McConnell?
It seems to me like anger should be directed more towards the government than entrepreneurs on average.

you really have to ask how Elon took advantage of the rigged system?

Over the last decade, Musk's companies SpaceX and Tesla were awarded at least $18 billion in federal contracts, according to spending data -- with SpaceX winning more than $17 billion worth of contracts since 2015

The State Department has scrubbed mention of armored Teslas from its 2025 procurement forecast.
The procurement document previously contained a line item that read: "Armored Tesla (Production Units)" — a reference to products from Elon Musk's electric vehicle company, Tesla. It was listed as a five-year contract and valued at $400 million, making it the biggest item on the list.
The document was titled "Department of State Procurement Forecast Year 2025 (Revised 12/23/2024)." The Tesla line item had last been revised on December 13.
As of Wednesday night at 9:12 p.m. EST, the line item has been revised. It now reads "Armored Electric Vehicles." It's still listed as a five-year contract worth $400 million.
The document is now called "Department of State Procurement Forecast Year 2025."

So he got federal contracts? Did he get them because his brother in law awarded them or because he was the most competent contractor? I'm sure the federal government has thousands of contractors.
How do people that make 175k in the Senate become worth hundreds of millions of dollars? That's something I'm more interested in
Those contracts wouldn't exist without the people selling influence behind the scene. Our politicians are the problem.

Say what you want but Elon puts products out there for the world to see and he is changing the world. Sure he gets contracts WHY you ask? Because he can fuking deliver and failure is a part of this industry but he uses the money like it is intended for to further technology and change the world.

Subsidizing teslas is as much of mooching off the gov as carbon credits.
Just because i like Elon more than Al Gore doesnt mean i have to support it.
If u didn't notice the guy asked me specifically about Elon and bezos... How is that a deflection

I feel he has gone off the left end the last few years. I wonder if his wife has just slowly drug him further that direction.

Pretty sure he just hates people voting for one side or the other and then claiming its the other sides fault for everything bad that happens.
Weve had the same 2 parties for 100+ years. Its dumb to vote for eirher party and then claim anything that bad that happens is the other sides fault.
They are both working together to frick us. It's pretty simple. If u check campaign donations pfizer donated to Republicans and democrats and they all got wealthy off the vaccine mandate.
I dont think trump is a complete puppet but the people in congress are.

i think its a whole lotta maintaining plausible deniability because the truth is hard to accept for a lotta folks.
it's easier to focus on one enemy than to accept that no matter which side you vote for they are both gonna frick you.

Dirty truth is that the USA has always been led by a few elite risk takers and industrious types.
A relative few forged our history and nothing has really changed
