I think that's probably where they're differentiating between places like Hooters and Twin Peaks. Typically, those ladies are just servers and not cooks/"in the back".

I spent 6 months in Washington and 90% of the state seemed relatively rural and full of PNW baws. They are just outnumbered by the few decent sized metros.
East of the Cascades is definitely y'alls version of redneck. I felt right at home.
